Admit it. This dude looks badass. |
His passive, Concussive Blows is a passive that not only stacks with basic attacks and abilities from himself, but attacks and abilities from his allies. When the stacks accumulate to 4, a stun is prodded on the target. This helps generate a very helpful team-fight mechanic which can be used to better help focus certain targets by stunning them and eliminating them. In addition, it makes him a very powerful support that can be used well in lane, stunning enemies as a poke tool and a getaway tool.
His Q, Winter's Bite is a linear skill shot that activates once it hits the target. Once it hits, it applies a stack of concussive blows, deals magic damage and slows the target by 70% for 2 seconds. This is great for slowing down retreating enemies and applying that first stack of Concussive Blows.
His W, Stand Behind Me is a single target (ally) dash that places the champion in front of the target towards the nearest ally, giving both the user and the target a defensive buff in both armor and magic resistance. On a side note, he can also cast it on himself. This can be useful for not only protecting teammates from skills cots and most global ultimates, but also for either defending himself or getting out from situations.
His E, Unbreakable, calls upon a shield that completely negates the first source of damage that would have hit you or anything behind you. After the initial block, the user will take a certain percentage less damage and block all projectiles for the duration. This is perfect for taking front line damage and preventing some global or long range projectile based spells from affecting your allies.
Finally, his R, Glacial Fissure is a pass-through linear skills shot that knocks up both the first enemy hit, with subsequent enemies being knocked up after for a short duration. In addition, the spell stays for a short period afterwords that slows enemies when they step inside the AoE effect. This can be very good for initiates and teamfights, slowing down enemies and dealing damage.
Overall, my impressions are that I'm excited to try out the character. In fact, I might even buy him when he is released live. I have currently tried him on the PBE, and he looks like he'll have a lot of usage in terms of utility and protection.
Anyways, I'll have the Naruto manga review up tomorrow, so, have a wonderful day!
Signing out!
